My name is Jessica Lathrop and I have been a big nerd since forever. I have an interest in indy and DC Comics, roleplaying games in the pen&paper, live action, and video game varieties. I am a computer programmer and Classical music dork. I love HGTV, the History Channel, and Discovery Channel. Pop culture is just about my favorite guilty pleasure. NPR is win.

I am fortunate to work from home 4 days a week because I live forever away from where I work. As noted in the title of my blog, I live in the country after having spent the majority of my life in urban settings.
